Le Petit Lion de Marquis de Las Cases, Saint Julien, France 2011 is a red wine from the Bordeaux region of France. It is the second wine of the famous Château Léoville-Las Cases, which is one of the top producers in the Saint-Julien appellation.

This wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes, with a higher proportion of Merlot than the grand vin of the estate. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, along with subtle hints of vanilla and spice from aging in oak barrels. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft tannins and flavors of ripe dark fruit, such as black cherry and blackcurrant. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a touch of acidity to balance the fruit flavors.

The 2011 vintage was marked by a cooler growing season, resulting in wines that are elegant and restrained, with lower alcohol levels than some of the warmer vintages. Le Petit Lion de Marquis de Las Cases 2011 is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but also has the potential to age for several years. It would pair well with red meat dishes, such as grilled lamb or beef, or with strong cheeses like Roquefort or Gorgonzola.
